This has happened so many times and I'm tired of dealing with it. Is there any way to change the length of the temporary duct tap when joining two ducts?
Example scenario:
I right-click on duct 1 and select draw duct, then turn my duct 90° and try to connect it into duct 2. They are at the same middle elevation, and my duct tap and duct elbow families are the default ones from Autodesk. However, if duct 1 is within 1'-0" of duct 2, Revit spits out this list of errors. As best as I can figure, this is because Revit has implemented a 1'-0" temporary duct tap (the vertical piece not highlighted orange) and declares the orange highlighted duct is too close. However, if I move duct 1 further away from duct 2, connect it like I described above, and scoot duct 1 back to it's initial position Revit is fine and doesn't give me any errors. This has been my solution for awhile but it becomes a pain when I'm designing in tight spaces where I know the duct will fit, but Revit seems to think otherwise.
Any help on changing this typical tap length would be extremely helpful.
Thanks
Hi @rpintarBLZZ2 please follow this link to fix the issue you are having, you should be able to edit the formulas to adjust to your requirements.

Please let me know if that helps. Thank you.

Maybe your template isn't configurated for this application. Try to do the same act in other template. Sometimes it's easier than fix it
