Export 3D view from a revit file

I am trying to export a 3D view of ductwork from my revit model for coordination, but I cannot figure out the best way to do it. One way I found was to make all the ductwork/equipment into a group and then I could save it as a separate revit file through the project browser but then when I open the new file, some of the equipment is missing, so it does not seem to be the best way to do it. Any ideas?

I usually set up a 3d view just for that purpose.

Hi,

Did you want to create a 3D view with equipment and duct/pipe routine only, right ?

To achive this:

Create a 3D --> apply a view filter or VG then export them in PDF or DWG .
