Edit Annotation Sympbol for Pipe Fitting / Accessory

Hello Revit Users:

I am trying to edit the annotation symbol for a pipe reducer.  The reducer itself is a Revit Family, but when I edit the family I cannot change the appearance of the annotation symbol for the reducer.  Currently, the reducer appears as a triangle in coarse and medium resolutions.  I would like to change it so the triangle does not appear.  Does anyone know how to change the annotation symbols for Revit Families?

Just to make sure i'm reading this correctly, you want no indication of the reducer when you are in course and medium visual styles?

Yes.  but I would also like to know how to change the annotation symbol of other revit families if I want to change their annotation symbol.

Usually these symbol lines are not made using symbols or annotations, usually model lines are used for such purpose, edit them to get the desired results.
