Duct fittings Weight Calculation

Hello,

Is there a way within Revit to calculate the weight of Duct Fittings specifically? I was able to do it in the Duct family through out project/calculated parameters but i can't replicate it in the duct fitting family.  I´d appreciate your advice.

Kind regards,

Joser Castaños

So what is the issue you are running into exactly?

You can add a mass parameter as project parameter and assign it to duct fittings and then put in the mass value for each type. You then can schedule the duct fittings and get the total mass of the fittings.

Other option would be to add a shared (mass) parameter to each of the duct fitting families and enter the data. Then you also will be able to schedule the total mass.

Please mention Revit version, especially when uploading Revit files.

@L.Maas has the most efficient workflow for this situation. Create a shared parameter, and fill it out for all your ducts, duct fittings, duct accessories and mechanical equipment.  Then you can schedule it all and do 'Calculate Totals' for your weights of the elements.
