Disabling Calculations - Why Is it so difficult to find an answer?

I'm copying and pasting another member's post from 2013 because no answer was given, and it says exactly what I wanted to say:

When you're in production mode. Trying to draft, re-host fixtures, modify wires etc --- on a full building with ALL the panels circuited and calculating ------ TRYING TO MOVE WIRES, OR REHOST ANYTHING BOGS THE SYSTEM DOWN DRASTICALLY.

What would be better --- is instead of calcing everything in real time, give us the option to temporarily DISABLE calculating loads and other system calculations UNTIL A SYNCHRONIZE TO CENTRAL IS PERFORMED.

I love that everything links up so nicely in Revit, it's wonderful --- but when you're trying to get a job out the door (as I am right now), waiting a good 4-5 mississippi just for FREAKING wire to move makes you want to imbibe Clorox.

We can disable load calcs for spaces... now how about just disabling load calcs altogether until I'm done with my "drafting"?

Why?...

Rob

Drafting is a breeze and Revit doesn't always work the way you think it should.

Hello,

Because when you have a 22 storey building like my project and you want to edit some wires in about 3200 circut ,then that's a very very good idea to that

case .

If my answer solved your problem , Please Kudo and Accept as solution.
