Hello,

Why don´t you creat it as a legend?

Then you will be able to place in multiple sheets.

I would ideally like to have the duplicate
detail be dependent so I could edit one copy and the duplicate would
reflect those changes as well.

Once you've created your detail you can make into a group.

Editing one instance of the group will also edit all other instances.

One thing that is not replicated in the parent of a Dependent view (in Revit 2020) is the position of the tag for a call-out. If you move the handle in the child the handle in the parent view will not be moved.

Many a times due to dependent views, changes gets reflected in other sheets. This a major problem while doing annotation work. Is there any alternative to dependent views?

Yes - Independent views.

"Many a times due to dependent views, changes gets reflected in other sheets" - that is the whole point of using dependent views.

If you've created views as dependent and then would rather have them as independent then you can change their status. https://help.autodesk.com/view/RVTLT/2024/ENU/?guid=GUID-6FB2D38A-C5D0-4660-8199-7E0057C1A5FB
