Hello all,
I'm looking to create a project template to simplify some things and one aspect I'd like to add is a pre-configured list of Schedules to my Project Template.
What I would like is to create schedules for individual item types. For example, a schedule for Fire Dampers and only Fire Dampers. Right now, my Fire Dampers are 'Duct Accessories' -> 'Dampers', right out of the gate you can only have Schedules that filter by their Family Type (Duct, Duct Fitting, Duct Accessory, etc) which can be very broad.
So far, my research into the matter seems to tell me that the only way to do this would be to create a parameter on my Fire Damper objects and then use the 'Filter' functionality of the schedules to Filter based on that parameter. I can certainly do that, but that seems very sloppy.
I'd personally really like to use the OmniClass information, if possible. That's native information that's already there and would save some redundant efforts.
Is it possible to use OmniClass information to do what I'm looking for? Is creating a parameter to affix to each Damper object the only method in filtering by object type in this situation?
Thanks!

Well, despite looking around for some time, I found the answer to my question is literally under my nose! I couldn't find anything mentioning this directly during my research, however; maybe this will be useful to someone who stumbles across the same question!
