Copy linked in model origin points

I am trying to figure out a way to improve our project setup and one of the things that I noticed, is that we spend a lot of time cleaning up the architect view (turning off grids, Topo, etc). Unfortunately, you can not build this information within your templates because there is not revit link option that populates unless you already have a linked in model and every model has different origin/coordination points.

Is there a way to link in a old revit model, turn off everything you need to and then later do a reload from with the new model and bring in/copy the architects origin/coordinates points?

Yes. It's common practice and can be set-up in your template file using a dummy link.

How do you do it then? Looking under transfer project standards, I didn't see anything in that menu that says anything about Origins or Coordinates.

I didn't even consider to look under the linked in model properties window.

There is no point of doing this because every project has unique coordinates system.  And the setup shouldn't take a lot of time: link auto center to center, move the link to where you want, acquire coordinates, copy monitor levels and grids, done
