Coorindates and Orientation

Hello there. 

I am working on a project in which I have inherited an MEPH Model from a previous consultant. I have the architects, building structure, sprinkler, and landscape models to pull into coordination. 

I have acquired the coordinates from the architect's model within my MEP model, but all the links come in various places.  I started a new file and did the same, and everything comes in as it should, including my MEP Model.

How can I get this to work within the MEP model itself? Currently, if I go to 3D view, the scope box is at a 45-degree angle to everything, and I have to manually rotate it to be parallel to the model, which resets every time I go back into a 3D view.

The correct method is for one of the models, usually architectural model or site plan, to be set up using a shared coordinate system and then other models acquire coordinates from that "master".

Alternatively, if you can open the architectural file, you can link your model into that file, manually move it to the correct location, rotation and elevation and then publish coordinates TO your model. Do the same for other models. Then everything should line up.

Then go back into your model and copy/monitor the main levels and grids.

Regarding the scope box and view orientation check whether your views are using Project North or True North.
