Changing the 'Level' parameter for multiple Lighting Fixture Elements "At once"?

Hello All,

I have a strange requirement. I am not sure if it is possible. So decided to ask out.

"The elements are in the correct physical location."

I JUST want to change the Level parameter for a bunch of Lighting fixtures in an MEP Model without affecting their actual position.

That means if I change from

Level   :  Mezzanine Floor (Offset of the elements :  'varying' m)

To

Level   : Basement Floor (Offset of the elements: 'adjusted' m)

Example:

Now I want to set the elements in their actual Level but I do not want to adjust each and every element one by one then change the offset. I want to select all the Lighting Fixtures and change the level to one.

Currently what happens is, if I change the Level value in the Instance Parameters, the elements are moved in the model to that new level as shown in the attached GIF Below.

Any suggestions are welcome, even any workarounds with Dynamo for Revit.

Thanks in advance.

Anything you place in the model will automatically be tied to the level associated with the view you placed them in. If what you're trying to do is change the associated level while leaving the actual elevation static you're out of luck. You'll have to change each individual offset (assuming these aren't hosted elements).
