Changing MEP fittings

When I'm routing duct work sometimes i need a standard take off and sometimes I need a beveled or a beveled w/damper. Now I know how to change routing preferences and to get the fittins I want as per which duct I'm working with. What my concern is that when I try to change a standard takeoff that has already been created to a beveled takeoff I get the following warning/error, "Changing the family for a MEP fitting might cause unexpected results.". I am aware of the results that will happen when I change the fitting, it's the reason I'm changing it to begin with, I want those changes to happen to the system. Is there a way to get that warning to not come up? Right now if I want to change the take off I have to delete it, go into "edit type", change the routing preferences, and then reconnect. Then if I need to change back to standard I have to go through the same process. It's very time consuming when working with low velocity systems where I need beveled at the brach takeoff but standard at the diffuser plenum connection. I have attacked a couple screen shots of the process. Please advise.

I understand you would prefer not to see the "Changing the family for a MEP fitting might cause unexpected results" message. Development is aware of this and is looking into ways of addressing it. However, it will require a code change and no date was given on when the changes will be made or released. In the meantime I have attached this post to the internal issue. 

I wish I could offer more but at the moment I cannot. Please let me know if you have additional questions or comments.

Dear ,

Simply you can make 2 duct types, one that will take the traditional tap and one that takes the beveled. Then you can select the tap and the 2 ducts connected with it and select change type, then you can switch your type. This will help you getting rid of that message and changing the family.

Could you help me ?

I have the problem when i change the elbow by the valve family, the "Changing the family for a MEP fitting might cause unexpected results" occurs. The valve family type is pipe fitting and part type is elbow.

I did the same in revit mep 2014, the fault was not occur, but in revit mep 2016 ... help me please !
