CCTV coverage area - Limit boundaries?

Hello everyone,

My colleague and I are working to implement cameras with coverage zones on Revit.

Our coverage zones are in a scalable triangle shapes and are drawn with 2D detail component to avoid collisions between the camera's field of view and others elements in the model (walls,...).

We would like to know if there is a way to limit this field of view to walls or any desired boundary, whether drawn in detail component or in 3D.

If so, we would like to know how to proceed in order to build our family of CCTV camera.

I know it is an old topic but I want to ask you if it is possible to model the coverage area by Generic model and some how use the existing walls to determine the boundary, maybe with the help of Dynamo?

In generative design, there's an example of "calculating exterior views from a point."
Perhaps you could program what you're looking for that way.
