It would be great if it was possible to have a spline fit-to-points option in the family editor and in the project environment. Revit does have that ability, but only (so far as I know) in adaptive families which have limited uses. This deficiency is a real PITA because sometimes imported DWGs use straight lines to represent curves and sometimes the straight lines are smaller than Revit can draw. In order to create a good revolve from the said lines it is necessary to create and adjust a spline with the control vertices which are much more cumbersome than fit-to-points. I don't even know why anyone would want to use control vertices.
