Scope Box extents - better control

Scope Box extents - better control

Please, please can we have better control over scope box extents? Once created a scope box has no edit sketch ability and won't respond to the align command. Basically you have nothing but very inaccurate dragging of control points with NO snapping.

We really need much better control. Even just being able to use align the top, bottom & sides of a scope box would give us the control we need.

At the moment, if you want to set your scope box extents 150mm below ground floor level (for example) you can only do this by creating a new scope box in a ground floor plan and then moving it 150mm down in a section, elev or 3D view, because otherwise you are just guessing.

@mjohnson59R2H is 100% correct about it being a workaround that does not address the underlying issue. One other workaround that can be helpful is the Scope Box Synchronizer add-in. It is free and helpful.

So this was accepted in 2022 in we are half way in of Revit 2026s lifecycle and still no implementation. Don't know how i am supposed to keep defending Revit to the Archicad fans in my office when my only aguments are "better tools for MEP and engineering" or "a lot of functionality if you know how to use families and dynamo" when we don't do engineering in house and 80% of architects don't know how to create families or use dynamo. And the usually don't need to know but the stuff that they use on a day-to-day basis is not revit's strongsuit.

2026... this is still an issue. It is causing massive headaches for me in a project with multiple buildings on a large site, each a at different rotation, requiring multiple scope boxes to be precisely aligned with each building's grid.
