Roof Overhang edges must project hidden lines when are whitin view's top range

ROOF OVERHANG.png

By default, Roof that are over the cut plane and below the top range of a View should display their exterior edges on Overhand (or hidden) line style.

You can archive this this with line work, picking one edge of the roof at a time, after applying and underline or changing the view's primary range "top". But thats is a time consuming task.

At least in my country, in architectural plans the overhang of roofs are almost always projected.

Other categories actually do this, for example Casework (you can see wall cabinet projected on hidden line style); but roof category don't allow that behavior.

It is even worse for sub-disciplines (like Electrical) that have to link the architectural model in.  The underlay trick does not work with a linked model as far as I have been able to tell.  Our only choice so far is to just draw (overhead) lines in our model that are not linked in any way to future roof modifications.

The only other way I have shown the overhang is to use plan regions along the edges of the roof and put the cut above the roof.

If someone has figured out another solution, I would love to hear about it.
