I see that the dimension types have been added to the 2022 release but, is there any chance we could apply if/then types of statements to these? For instance, what if I only want the suffix to show up on dimensions that are under 1" in length? Could I program that into the dimension type somehow?
@AnonymousCould you give an example of what you're trying to do? (I'm curious)
But no, you'll need to make different types - one for your <1" dims, one for normal. For us, we're using this new feature for our rounded dim type (to add the "±" suffix).
Sorry, here's the image I should have posted with the response below. See the dim string circled in blue.

@AnonymousYour 3/4" joint dimensions will have to be separate elements (with a different type), which means you will have a bunch of individual dimensions instead of one nice string. It may be less/same effort to manually add the suffix as needed (just copy-paste, or find/make an add-in or Dynamo script to do it), and you'll wind up with a more convenient single string (esp. if you find yourself needing to move it up/down).
I would like there to be a dimension style that places the text in the dimension line between the arrows/architectural ticks eg /------------- 300 ------------- / etc in the same way as AutoCAD and not have to drag each one manually. If you could complete this please it would be very helpful. Many thanks in anticipation.
