There's an item on the public roadmap called "Library Based Steel Connections" which sounds like a great approach. As I understood it on the latest Revit AMA (24th of May) you would focus on the largest markets out of the box (US, Germany, UK). I completely understand if it's not possible to include every regional library in the software. Could it somehow be made possible for your regional partners to supply and maintain libraries with complete functionality as part of their offering (through and addin somehow)? As a specific example, for us Swedes it would be great if a local partner like Symetri or AEC (no affiliation with either company) could implement our SBI typical details. This would creative massive value for the industry here, as we'd remove a lot of unnecessary extra steps (potential error sources) between design/code checking and modeling/our deliverables.
We've been pining for this for years, would be a shame if the dream couldn't come true now when we're this close!
