When you remove an item, or adjust or simply hide it, then any associated dimensions disappear. This is not a problem if you literally see it happening, however, this is often (especially with larger projects) not the case. It would be better if, instead of being deleted, the dimensions would become disassociated and get a different colour and/ or some kind of tag so that they can be identified and adjusted, and or filtered out. It happens often that an item gets adjusted on one sheet, but that a dimension gets deleted somewhere else entirely - it's almost impossible to keep track of and can often be problematic. I'm thinking for example, of dimensions that HAVE to be present in order to comply with planning regulations. You place a dimension, assume it's in order, then later someone moves a wall, or even just adjusts a linked .dwg file and your dimension dissappears, with no one any the wiser - despite the warnings (because there're too many, or there is no view open where the problem is). It would be handy if there was a to stop dimensions from getting deleted and to tag those that get disassociated in some way as mentioned above?
