La idea es que Autodesk debería de crear una página para descargar el contenido que el usuario necesite, algo así como la página de 3d warehouse  de sketchup, o la galería de objetos de Unreal Engine. 

Así, el usuario solo descarga el contenido que realmente va a usar y de esa forma no tiene que descargar cientos de familias que nunca en su vida va a necesitar.  Además podrían dar la posibilidad que la comunidad subiera sus propias familias para que otros usuarios las descarguen. También puede existir la posibilidad de agregar familias súper elaboradas realizadas por usuarios o autodesk, las cuales cumplan con normas y requisitos, que autodesk revisaría, y dichas familias podrían ser de paga.

This would take a whole other team from Autodesk to parse the families to make sure they were up to Autodesk standards.  Otherwise it would just turn into another Revitcity.  Not a horrible idea though.

Have you tried BIM object https://www.bimobject.com/en?software=revit. This has objects by actual manufacturers.
