Break out disciplines in Revit MEP forum

Break out disciplines in Revit MEP forum

Electrical design in Revit is a unique discipline and I for one feel like our posts get lost in the mix. I would like to see a forum "Revit MEP - Electrical". My needs stop there but the general community might be well served by this structure:

Revit MEP

     General Discussion

     Mechanical

     Electrical

     Plumbing

If you dudes working in other disciplines feel same please vote this up!

This is an industry wide issue.  Nothing frustrates me more when grouping the MEPF disciplines together.  Just because most US engineering firms do them under one roof, doesn't mean they don't deserve their own attention.  To me, it would be like grouping Architecture and Structural together.  I have this issue everywhere in the industry, mostly at conferences where they tag a class as MEP but that plumbing class has as much to do with electrical as structural does with fire protection.

I'm all in favor of a separate sub-disciplines.

I would rather have more disciplines not fewer disciplines. But what I would really like is the ability to add custom disciplines. this would help us organize models better

yes, ..... this makes perfect sense

The needs of HVAC, PH (Plumbing) and Electrical are quite different and specific.

There should be a sub-forum for each

Each of these separate disciplines have separate engineers (for a reason)
