It would be great if Revit had an 'always face camera' display mode for entourage familes. We'd like to actually control how the entourage appears. Here's what the 'always face camera' elements look like in Sketchup:
-This would be useful for entourage people, plants, trees, cars, etc.
-This is a super common problem: Every architects office has to show entourage at some point. And everyone feels like they are re-inventing the wheel, because there isn't a good way to do entourage in revit.
-Ideally, you could make visiblity switch off above certain angle - to appear differently as a plan representation. (So, a 'face camera' tree from the side is only visible up to 80 deg altitude, after that, it appears as a plan representation.)
-Archvision is fine, but not really useful because you can't control the appearance: Because they have two intersecting planes, and you can't turn off the one perpendicular to the camera, it always looks bad in any non rendered view. (And their editor is ... um... inconsistently supported at best.)
-There are probably other uses for this feature: i.e. other kinds of symbology in documentation
