Would it be possible to have Flex pipes drawn in Section and elevations?
At the moment it is indicated that Flex pipes can only be drawn in Plan and 3D view, this is however an issue for us as we need to do the designs in either section of elevations.
Can we please draw flex pipe in a section view? Is there a good reason that we cannot do this? There's a similar idea already out there to allow flex duct to be drawn in a section view. I assume the mechanics behind both tools are similar, but I'm submitting this just to be sure.
This is a great idea! A lot of my job consists of drawing existing conditions, and I often need to draw flex duct that is only present in a vertical section. The lack of this tool makes it very difficult to model in Revit.
@wr.marshall Thank you. This Idea specifically requests the ability to draw in a Section view. For that functionality, I will probably keep this as a separate Revit Idea.
I basically have to swap between section view and a 3D view just to run the flex duct (and flex duct should be the easiest since it doesn't need routing options and fittings...)
Seems kind of strange to be able to draw flex ducting in plan view and 3D view, but I can't draw it in section (which is probably how I model most ducting).
