How to auto attach bottom surface of columns with the top surface of isolate footing that have different depth? Is there any add-in or tool to do that ?
Not only do they not automatically join, but it's not even possible to join two columns with each other at all. We work on renovating projects a lot and sometimes you only demolish part of a column.
As columns and beams don't create automatic infillings like walls and floors do, you have to model 2 columns on top of each other, with no way to join them together currently. So you will see a thick line in the existing drawings where the column will be cut.
