Zooming in on same area, but different level?

Hi,

I am looking for a quick and easy way to zoom in on the same area, but on another floor plan.

I.e. If I am working on the 1st floor, on an apartment in the northern end of an apartment building, and need to change something, lets say on the third floor, also in the northern end. What is the easiest way of zooming directly in on the exact same area?

The way i do it now involves a lot of zooming in and out, combined with pan to get to the right area, unless I by coincidence was zoomed in on the same area from before.

It would save a lot of time if there was a faster way to zoom using the previous "cropping", but on the new level.

Underlay is not a solution here, because I want to work on the plan i zoom to, not only look at it.

When I'm working on the first floor zoomed into an area and the third floor view is not open, Revit automagically zooms to the same area when I open the third floor. The key here is that the third floor view was not open.

Alternatively, you could look into scope boxes and use them to temporarily crop views.

Drafting is a breeze and Revit doesn't always work the way you think it should.

Something I use a lot, when working with an element in multiple views, is "Select Previous" (via mouse right-click).

Scope Boxes too, as @RobDraw suggested.

Hi, and thanks,

That would be a super solution, @RobDraw, but of some reason, this doesn't work in my project.

Revit instead zooms out, so the whole floor is visible when i open a plan that was previously closed.

Could it be something in my preferences that prevents this from working? Or something else..?

I could work with scope boxes, but i would prefer if the first suggestion worked - it would be much easier in this project.

Do you use zoom in to region? That would help if you don't.
