Yes/No Visibility Parameters (Default)

A family existed, and I modified it. I have never had this problem before, but I can't get the default to be uncheck. I have tried so many different things. There are SO many types, I'd prefer not to have to manually uncheck all the yes/no boxes. Thanks.

Have you tried un checking the visibility before you set the parameter?

I find that if I want something to be off by default I uncheck its visibility first. then assign the on/ off parameter. reverse if I want it to be on by default.

I think this will only work though if the family is being loaded fresh into a project. After you're finished changing the parameters, try loading it into a brand new model if you find its resetting when reloading it into an existing model.

could you possibly screen capture what your talking about? Having trouble trying to understand what you're talking about.

below are 2 sceenshots. i think it is probably related to the fact that the family has already been loaded in. i suspect i am stuck with manually unchecking all of the boxes. the first shot is what the family looks like in my project. the 2nd is part of the properties window. i have no idea why some default to uncheck, while others don't. i created them all the same way. and even though the one says "default" unchecked, it still shows up checked.

This will work for new parameters. The parameters you already have loaded into the family will be on by default if you created them one after the other.
