Yes/no shared type parameter in family not working in project environment

Hello,

I have the following issue:

1. I have a shared Yes/no parameter to control visibility

2. In a nested componant - Generic Model Family - I've used this shared param' as a type parameter; I want two types of this nested componant in the host curtain wall panel family. One type with something visible and the other not visible

3. These two types work just fine in the host curtain wall panel family

4. However, when I load this curtain wall panel family into a curtain wall in the project environmnet, the visibility of part of the nested componant I'd already set inside the host family doesn't work, ie, its not visible in the project, but is in the host family.

This has been happening a few times now and I'm having to do some annoying workarounds. I can't figure out why its happening. Anyone have any ideas?

Thanks for any help!!!

Try making the parameter an Instance parameter in the nested Family. And connect that to a Type parameter in de main Family.
