Windows and doors not cutting curtain wall properly

First I'd like to give a big Hello to the community as this is my first post on this forum 🙂

I am working on an industrial hall which has an insulative metal panels cladding. I created curtain walls, replaced system panels with custom wall panels so I can put windows and doors into curtain wall. So far so good... Then I successfully put windows into these external walls, but then I realized that Revit isn't cutting window openings into panels properly on one of four walls! Three walls don't have a problem being cut for windows, yet fourth wall seems to only cut one panel per window. The same goes for industrial door - when I place them into the wall, only one panel gets cut. On all the other walls, the door opening is cut for the whole door area...

I tried multiple solutions, I mirrored the entire OK wall with windows, I've redrawn the wall with "create similar", I placed the windows one by one, I mirrored the windows from the OK wall, the fourth wall just doesn't want to cooperate... I am out of ideas what to do, does anyone have a clue how to solve this problem?

They need to be hosted by one wall - they won't cut adjacent panels.  Why don't you rather use curtain wall doors and windows for those?

Did you check the pictures I attached? Two same curtain walls, on the east side curtain wall each window cuts two panels just fine, on the west side curtain wall each window cuts only one panel. 

I didn't use curtain wall windows because I have the same type of windows on ground level which is made of concrete.

You replaced the Curtain Wall Panels with Basic Wall Types so they would Host regular Windows/Doors; right?  

Can you post your file so we can have a look?

It may be that someone removed a grid-line segment, which allows the windows to cut across two panels.

The problem still exists no matter what I do. When I create the four curtain walls, the top wall in the floor plan is always corrupt and won't let windows or doors cut more than one panel, no matter if the top wall is created first or last in the chain. No grid-line segments deleted, just four walls in rectangular floor plan disposition.

I did manage to find a workaround, though. If I put windows and doors in the parallel wall that lets them cut multiple panels at once and then mirror the whole set (wall + windows + doors), the panels stay cut as needed. However, newly created windows in this mirrored wall still won't cut multiple panels and existing windows won't cut any other panels if they are moved out of boundaries of the panels that they currently cut.

The workaround is fine for me at the conceptual stage of the project, for presentation and material takeoff. If it gets accepted, curtain wall windows and doors will have to be made to match the ordinary windows and doors, which will probably be a time consumer, there is probably not an easy way to convert windows and doors to curtain wall windows and doors...

Maybe just use a normal wall with material surface pattern instead of curtain wall...

Maybe try join those two panels? but you need a workaround to show the line between two panels.

I'm having the exact same issue. I wonder if there was any way to sort it now. I used wall opening to cut the walls where required, which is ok for presentation but for actual construction docs will probably need to find a better way so that my schedules don't mess up.

The only workaround that worked for me was the one mentioned in one of previous comments, mirroring the "healthy" wall from the opposite side of the building. This workaround only works when the wall on the opposite side is the same dimensions and the issue still persists if the mirrored wall gets edited.

Maybe this issue was fixed in Revit 2021...

Funny. I was using 2020 and it worked well, but 2021 is what caused the openings issue for me. I'm finding 2021 troublesome for me, but can't switch back as my workplace has already upgraded to 2021.
