Window family: Mark

Hi all,
I am having annoying Mark filling for windows family.
Each time I copy a Window Revit automatically fill the mark with a consecutive number.
How to stop this behaviour?

Revit does that for all families. It's not just windows. Have a look. It's what marks do.

you can edit it to something else, but not remove it or stop it from filling in. as @martijn_pater asked, Why? Are you placing a tag it is it is the type number? if that's the case, change the tag to use a different parameter.

Unfortunately this feature is hard program into the software. So any family you copy will always have mark associate with it. If I want to leave the mark blank, I placed all my window and then use the schedule to remove all of it.

I do as @syman2000 but quite tedious for multistorey building with countless windows.

Maybe a Dynamo script may help.

Or you can make your own parameter and not use Mark.
