window double sliding with inset parameter

Hi!

I have created a simple custom double sliding window with inset parameter tha so far it works, but i cant figure out how to make both glass panels to move along with the outer and inner frames too.

i tried to put glass thickness parameter but i cant figure it out how it works..any sugestions?
Also, for glass in vg i checked not to appear in floor plan so i draw a model line to appear only in coarse level, but i have the same problem ass the glass it doesnt move.

For the inner frame in floor plan i have to draw lines in order th have the appereance of inner frame section?why the outer frame is showing ok(i mean the rectangular shape)

in floor plan why i cant see the glass frame?

Hi,
Your window glass was just flying off to the edge of the wall because it wasn't attached to the frame by reference planes.
But it's better to create a window using nested families; having everything in one family isn't the right approach.
Study the system window family in Revit or watch some videos on YouTube.

As for the display of window frames, it's hard for me to answer that question—I'm using version 2025 and haven't encountered that problem. Perhaps there used to be such quirks in the Revit engine...

Use Nested sash families; that is the only good way. You can use/re-use them in every type of window. Also Nested window frame families. Once you get it figured out, you can take the stock pieces and build an all new window very quickly. It's the exact same thing for doors. 

You'll waste a lot of time trying to make Revit shufflle all those extrusions if they are modelled in the family. And then you'll find they are super hard to edit if you get it all working. 

Attached is my standard sash, it's very adjustable and it also includes an adjustable nested mutin family. Try it. (if you toggle the lites to zero, the muntins go away)

You need to know how to map and control the parameters in a nested family to use it, that's something you have to know how to do to use Revit.
