Window & door swing lines

can someone help tried all the ways i can google i cannot get rid of swing line from windows, when i open up the family i dont see any option fro swing lines to turn off. I want to object styles in project and set lines to no colour and still they show any ideas?

If it is a View by View basis, use VG and uncheck Elevation Swing subcategory of the Windows category.

If it is to be permanent, edit the window families, select the swing lines on the elevation view, not the 3D view, and uncheck Visible.

You won't see any VG controls in the family , other than the Visibility Settings. What controls the projection/cut line weight and pattern is the Subcategory that Swing Lines are assigned too. Select one of them in the family and check its properties. There you will see the Subcategory that is used. If it says "none", then create a new Subcategory (under Object Styles), such as "Swing", and then assign that Subcategory in all your swing lines (under Properties). Then in the Project, you will now have a that new Windows Subcategory which will allow to control the style and VG states of those elements - separate from the other elements in the family.

thanks guys you both helped in a way what was driving me up the wall was i turned off the elevation swing lines in windows and it had no effect. The i realised they had been placed under generic models instead of windows.. sorted now thanks

Hi, a comment I often hear from my colleagues is that the VG lines do not update when the windows/doors change. Is it correct/possible?
