Why the line width and color in Family does not show up in project?

HI  I built a simple family to prepresent the articulation joints in the walls.  It is very simple indeed and is just a thick, red line which is wall-based. However, when I load this family into project, the color of the line and the width of it is all gone. 

The attched is the family file and also a printscreen showing how it shows up in project. Could anybody here tell me what is wrong? and how can i show the color and thickness of the line in project?

Hello.

The problem here is that you have simply changed the line color inside the family. In this case, the project settings will override the family style.

You need to go (inside the family) to Manage > Object Styles and create a new line style, with a unique name (one that does not exist in the project you're using it on), this way the new style will be incorporated to the project, without overrides. Also, the subcategory of the annotation should be changed to the line style you've created.
