There can be multiple reasons: different base elevations, set to disjoin, design options, etc...

You can simply use Join geometry to re-join them.

this walls have same height and base elevation . curretn join status is allow.

Share the file if you want to get to the bottom of it.  Otherwise we can throw guesses all day long based on just the picture.

For example: here is one that I manually unjoined geometry.

To fix it? Join Geometry again or Cut and Paste aligned in place.

JOIN GEOMETRY.  Auto-Join will do nothing with  that condition (overlapping walls).
