BRICK HATCH WILL NOT GO AWAY

No matter what I do this brick hatch will not go away

yes I have tried everything I can think of: edited the materials, change the visibility grahics override - I even started a new generic wall and replaced the entire wall with a blank grey generic wall - somehow it remains

however in one sectional drawing it does not appear and appears as I wanted it to as a flat colour - but I have compared every setting between them and they are all the same - the weird thing is that I also changed the weatherboard patterns and they changed without resistance at all. the only thing my efforts did change is giving me the backgroud colour behind the hatch pattern

things tried:

- wall edit setting and materials

- visibility graphics overrides

- doing a new generic wall and replacing this one

- painting over the top with new material

- removing paint - all that does is leave the brick pattern and take out the grey background colour

Did you check the material's Appearance tab?

Looks like a Bump or Relief. Go to Object Styles, scroll down to "Walls" and see what's listed under "Material" column.  Is there a Material there?  Edit it and expand the Bump and/or Relief Categories under the Appearance Tab. See any Images?

@wisedrawing

You have Overridden Material by Element (Surface Pattern)...

  1. Select the walls
  2. Right Click >> Override Graphics in view >> By Element
  3. Reset to remove the override

Override material bz element.gif

champion thanks heaps that was the one thing I missed

this is an older drawing and I was sort of cheating back then with the visibility overrides rather than doing the materials properly - and I forgot about that

Cheers
