Sometimes when I "select all instances visible in view" the properties become greyed out and I can't select anything to edit.  When I select a few of these item individually holding shift, I can edit the properties.

What can I do so that I can edit all?

Thanks

What are you selecting?  Maybe a selection set filter would be better.

It is possible that the selected element is part of a group or assembly. In that case some or all of the parameter values can not be changed

Please mention Revit version, especially when uploading Revit files.
