Where to find Revit/BIM Objects for furnishing public library?

Does anybody have any recommendations on a good website to get BIM objects to furnish a public library?

All else failing, check manufacturer websites for Revit content

You can install content libraries from the link HERE  for your Revit version.

You're welcome.

We make sure to always bring up the need for Revit content when we're meeting with manufacturers and I recommend everyone doing the same.

It's not impossible to import external content (dwg, sketchup, even 3ds max) but it's so much easier if we have the Revit files to work with.

I'm just leery of

(a) manufacturer families that just have AutoCAD 3D geometry imported in and

(b) manufacturer's families that have a whole lot of parameters that are meaningless in a production model.

Close examination and simplification of families prior to insertion is important for the overall health of the model - just getting manufacturer content does not let you off the hook.

You're right on both counts.

The list I posted above only features manufacturers that offer 'real' revit content (with Revit geometry or freeform shapes). Do imported meshes etc.

Still, some additional cleanup is almost always required (cleaning up linestyles, subcategories, locked parameters, ...).
