I just tried to frame a house with the curtain wall approach for wood studs...

Seems like it takes too long, produces strange join conditions, and you can't do take offs.

Is this method really the best way for wood framing?

What do you think?

It cam in as an alternative for the framing plugin. It is not the best way, it somewhat works here and there.

For walls it is quite perfect but it can be quite tedious when used as sloped roofing and the roof is not of a simple geometry and type. Eventually with more practice you will get used to them though.

For slopped roofs I still prefer Beams and Beam systems over Curtain walls...Better in phasing, they behave better (built-in Material behavior - Wood/Concrete/Steel), better graphics and they have better connections.
