Walls /elements are not showing up on 3D vs Floor plan

I am not able to see elements on the 3D view even when they are on the Floor Plan (Visibility View - is showing all, all of the elements are the in same discipline and view range is correct.) The only way to see any element is when I copy that element from the floor plan and then I go to the 3D and I click on Paste. That is the only way I can see everything I draw on the 3D. For example, I copied the wall highlighted on the 3D view to wrap the column next to it. I did it on the floor plan, not on the 3D view. When I go to the 3D view, I am not able to see anything I copied. Otherwise, if I copy on the 3D directly and paste on the 3D, then I can see the wall (same properties in both views). Practically, I can just copy on the 3D, but no on the floor plan to be able to see everything on others views.

Did you check the phase and phase filter of the views?

Yes, I did. Both are the same phase.

Help me understand. You are doing a copy (and paste) using the clipboard copy/paste tools. Correct? And, how are you pasting it back? "Aligned to Same Place"?

If its not phasing I'd take a look at your worksets and filters.

You could also select the walls in plan view and click the 'Selection Box' button:

That should find them in the 3d view if they're lost.

Also, if Sugein has done this several times without success, I'm thinking that his Warnings should be full of Overlapping Walls. If not, I would again question what procedure he's following to do his copying.

See the video to understand better. I know is hard to explain just by using photos.

Just what I thought: YOU'RE NOT USING THE TOOL CORRECTLY.

You're using the Copy in View with the Clipboard Paste Tool. Use the Copy tool ON THE CLIPBOARD.

Can you confirm if the Shared Levels and Grids workset is made visible for the 3D view?

This is the least helpful post I've read in a long time... Why don't you tell them what they're doing wrong rather than posting this childish reply?

My apologies. I had no idea this would come across as childish. It was meant to be constructive. I can see from the video that he is copying using the Copy tool and trying to paste that copy using the Clipboard tool.  There's nothing copied to the Clipboard to paste.

Sorry for my late response, but I am working at the same time. I am using my office's network. I shared this project we other users in the company. I have done this before without any problem. Right know, I am working with the Central file instead and I have the same situation.

I'm obliviously the idiot here. I looped this video several times and see can now that I was wrong. So, I apologize to all again. I'm eating my crow for lunch. Promise. Smiley Embarassed

I opened the file in another computer and it had the same situation. Also, I opened a new project and I did not have any problem with the new one. So, it is a specific problem in that model not in Revit.

Yes scolding paying customers in all caps couldn't in any way be construed as childish. Wow people are so sensitive.
