Wall with union elements

Hello,

a) trying to do a wall with join elements.

Do not undrestand why can join elements at top and not the base or the contrary.

Furthermore layers can become with "variable thickness" (airs and brick) are no more deleted.

Before create the base cancel a layer.

b) the union elements are not visible in elevation ore 3d view but only section, right?

Thank's

If put non structural layer out core say me " functional priority of layers can't be elevated from core boundary to final layres.

Put the correct function for layers no- structural. However the problem with divided wall persist.

Cheers

Changing color for insolution have the join for elements at the top in property wall (not in the base) and not in section.

Furthermore there's a little piece of air that is distinguish from the rest both in propertes that in section. It's dimensioned in property but can't be dimension in section.

Thank's

Thank's!

How did you do?

Inser a little part at base to garanty the continuity of insulation?

For 3D view?

Many thank's! 🙂 ;))

Is that what you were talking about?! That was simply done using Assign Layers. Did you see other change I made? You had the Air Gap incorrectly constrained, which prevented it from extending to the full height of the wall. Now it does.

Give me the solution if that solves your problem.

I ain't posting no screencast for you, Matteo, if that's what you mean. There are plenty of resources on line for that. I've already indicated the tool to use: Assign Layers. Google it.

Hello, I use the command assign layer and undrestand how is do but... I ask why can don't use the command join for both side (top and base) because at final can't do that.

Furthermore, (attach 2) why the layer of air arrive at m 5,70? There no command in property in which I can establish the lenght of layer.

In addition to this a saw I can annotate the wall only from a bondary from air and left side insolution, but don't undreatsand the reason. It's not depend on the location line of wall because a put finish ext wall for both (numbers in rectangulars red).

Many thank's

@barthbradley

Sorry, I think you don't undrestand when a person joke and when not, (before I'm joiking...).

Writing is a form of neutral communication and hardly understood if written badly (as in my case).

For the rest, I have never received such messages from anyone in a forum...

Ps. Sorry for my very bad english Sir. Many thanks again for early.

Many cordial greetings
