Wall opening - phasing
As @ToanDN said, use a family that has just the opening in it.
I would start the "Generic Model Wall Based" template, create your opening and then set the family to whatever category you want. Add parameters for Width and Height so you can control the size.
You can then place the family anywhere in your project and also schedule them.
