Wall layers not showing in plan view

Hello all,

I have a co-worker that has wall with layers (core+substrate).  In the plan view, all you see is the entire wall thickness.

I have checked VG, detail level, and view range, which are all in a view template, and seem to be fine OR am I not looking in the correct location. I even change the view template to none, delete any filters in VG (one filter that just showed the wall core if it was a part), but still cannot get it to show.  When the wall is selected, you can see the grip of wall core and beyond that is the substrate.

I am out of ideas as to where to look - help

Is Wall category overridden to Coarse in your View Template?

No...

But I did get it to show - my view range cut plane was set at the top of the wall, but when I set it one inch below, it worked.  Also, the patterns for the wall were hidden (override) in the view template.

Now the problem is that my piers do not clean up with the foundation wall - which I created by Component > model in place > solid extrusion > (family category wall)

Piers made out of isolated foundations (or even if you make them out of structural columns, aren't going to join with walls unless you checkmark the Structural option in the wall's properties. And even then I think you're going to have to manually join them.

I am using digital twin software Autodesk Tandem. When I import the Revit model, the parts do not appear. There is no Parts option in Revit Categories either. How can I find a solution?

I have had this same problem and been through the "Detail Level", "Parts Visibility", "View Template Filters", "Overrides" and had no luck. Used "Plan regions" to see if I could ever get it to show on any level with any setting but with no luck, however...

I found if you have a wall that is "Unconnected" on the "Top Constraint" then the wall layers will not show in some instances. I selected the "Top Constraint" as a level in the model and inputted the required "Top Offset" and voila! I can see the layers. Hope this helps someone!

Remove the "Phase-New" Material in the Graphic Override tab under the Phasing box
