Wall Join Issues With Angled Gable Roof

Hello,

I am currently working on a project with an A-frame style gable roof that also angles inward on the footprint as seen below.

The issue I'm facing is that the wall will not join to the roof correctly when using the "attach top" tool, likely due to the angled footprint of the roof. It either attaches outside of the roof and cuts out the inside entirely, or clips on one side.

When I shrink the walls to not quite touch the edges of the roof it connects just fine.

But as soon as I extend the wall to reach the full length of the roof the join stops working. Is this just another Revit issue that can't be fixed? Is there any workaround? Editing the wall profile is not a valid solution, as the edges don't follow the angle of the roof footprint then, leaving a wedge-shaped gap on either the outside or inside of the wall.

One of those Revit quirks. A solution you already found is stretching the wall to the point it no longer connects properly, but this will leave a small gap. Another solution would be a Void to trim the wall.

Ahh, okay, I kind of expected that, but was hoping there was a cleaner workaround. It really sucks that an industry-standard program that's been in development for years still has so many (albeit minor) quirks when using "smart" features for anything that is even slightly advanced. Thanks for the response and suggestions!
