Wall join in section problem

Hi,

I have a problem with wall join in sections- although the walls are made from the same materials, there are those lines in between them (as shown in the picture). It can be fixed with the "join geometry", but there are too many of them in the whole project.

I tried to fix it with a dynamo code, but it keep crushing (the code works fine in smaller cases).

Is there a way to solve it without joining each wall separately?

Maybe check your object styles for material overrides for the view. And perhaps show your wall / floor assemblies (edit type --> edit structure)... edit: Also check if your Coarse Scale Fill Pattern in your wall/floor types is set to none, or the same. edit 2: actually that last remark/edit is probably it...

No overrides, the floor structure is the same and only material, Coarse Scale Fill Pattern...

Other option is to set your view detail level to medium or fine, either for the whole view or just walls/floors in Visibility Graphics.

Tried as you suggested- no difference...

Also there is no coarse-scale fill pattern...

This is a property of the wall/floor types, it does seem likely that this would be the issue... maybe zip/share your file to troubleshoot...

If your model is modelled correctly (not modeled on some cad reference, and walls are perfectly aligned vertically etc.) you can do the following:

1. go to 3d view
2. isolate walls and floors only
3. set "Front View" or other orthogonal view via the view cube
4. use join tool with "Multiple Join" option checked
5. click on one floor (use wireframe or section box if you can't "pick" floor)
6. then drag a window around walls immediately below and above the floor
7. if prompted that elements cannot be joined, choose "Disallow Join"
8. Repeat for each building story

That way you can join fast many elements at once.
