Wall cut-out not showing up in plan view

I'm having an issue with a wall niche family I created.  It used to show up in floor plan but now it does not.  This issue is probably indicative of me not fully understanding visibility concepts in Revit and I spend a lot of time right now messing around with stuff like this!  I tried drawing a model line and a symbolic line to show up in floor plan but that didn't work.  I've attached jpg images of the plan and elevation and the .rfa of the wall niche family.  Any help is greatly appreciated!!

Well, the niche/wall recess is actually modeled, it will show up in Plan View if it is within the View Range.  Are you familiar with View Range?

I am familiar with view range.  Turns out that the view range of 4'-0" landed right where no wall cut-out was.  I changed it to 4'-1" and now I see it!
