wall area and length

Dear respect,

I am using revit 2017 for projects to calculate the wall length and area. And I am facing a problem in getting the accurate  wall area for complex project. Although I changed the wall joins to  miter but still I get higher number than the actual number.  In the two attached pictures the walls height is the same (3.2) but I got two different area.  So could you pleases advise and helping  me in solving this issue.

A couple of things that may help - 

1) Adjusting the location line of the walls

2) Trimming walls that need to be identical so that they actually are identical.

The wall length is, I believe, taken from the insertion line you drew to place the wall. If you drew the wall using core centerline, then that's where it will measure. If you drew it using the inside face or outside face, then obviously on a wall that's mitered at each end, those are going to measure differently.

Attempting to get EXACT wall measurements out of Revit on a complex project is futile. Or at least, it's not worth the effort. You're going to come up with some number that's roughly pretty close, then you're going to add some percentage for waste, then you're going to round up to the nearest convenient-to-order/ship quantity and place your order. Trying to figure out exactly how many square inches of gypsum down to a decimal place is a waste of time.

Let's put it this way: If you get it to be consistently EXACT, you are going to be a rich man.  Believe me, "moooon-4444 tools" would sell like hot cakes!

If you want that level of precision then Create Parts and report them.  Not sure if it's necessary for real world projects though.
