Can anyone give me some idea how to create a 3d toposurface from an OS data file with 0.5m contour and dtm heights. I can link the file and create the toposurface but it is flat. No Z values in autocad. Do I have to manually input elevation value to each interior point?
the screenshot shows the MM_DTM layer of points following contour lines but the toposurface doesn't want to know. When I go to create a toposurface I select all the layers.
Understand your problem.. before u must check your input details. here see only image available.. (ur attachments). then import your any csv file... try to attach.. or CAD Points
i had a similar problem the other day. in the end i put Z-value to points on the revit topo.......
however - if i could have gotten the format of the csv export from autocad right then it would have saved me a bit of time - looking at your topo there are too many points to place manually
i agree with yer man before - export a csv out of autocad and use that as your data drive for the topo
I have managed to extract the raw data and after reading around I moved the two extra columns to after the XYZ which has now created a 3d toposurface.
onto the next headbanger now
