Wall and Roof Join Order

Hi Folks,

I cannot manage to have this wall join properly with the roof above. I want the concrete to join with the concrete, the insulation with the insulation, the finish with the finish, etc....

Does anyone know what might be the issue? Thank you in advance!

Joining is problematic. you have to set proper cores.

My solution is: Model walls and roof as Single layers.

Draw the detail line where the insulation & structure interesect

draw det line.png

Draw the reference where the detail line intersect with insulation.

draw ref plan.png

Attach the wall to reference plane

Do join geometry. You have to click on switch join order to have the wall cut to the roof.

This is great! Thanks very much.  Works like a charm except for one detail:

I have a window right below where the wall hits the roof, and it looks like for some reason the roof edge is protruding into the window opening. It is showing up in all views, and making parts of the windows disappear in elevation.

Do you have any recommendations for making this little piece (highlighted in blue in the image below) disappear?

Thanks kindly,

Nick
