Void extrusion not working

Hello!! I'm trying to model a sink in Revit LT but the void extrusion is not working.

I'm pretty certain I've done the drawings correct (set up reference planes, the void cuts the solid object, etc.).

I'm wondering whether this could be related to the thickness of the object being too thin? I've done a few trials and I noticed that if I leave the thickness of the sink around 80mm the void works, but this is way too thick.

Any ideas and suggestions are welcome 🙂

As far as I know Revit has a limit of 1/32' that is equal to approx 0.8mm. The software does not let you draw lines smaller than that. Did you check the Autodesk Families as to how they are modelled?

Can you post the family here? It's a bit hard to tell what the issue might be.

You know, I don't we've modeled a sink in years.  Revit Sink Families are a dime a dozen on the internet.  Check out BIMObject.com.  Lots and lots of sinks there. All free to download.  Fast and easy.  At the very least, download some and see how they are modeled.  You might learn a few new tricks.  😉

My sink thickness is 4mm, so not sure why is not working! I have attached the family down below in case you want to have a look 🙂

Thanks for your response! Yeah I have a few sinks downloaded, but I wanted to make my own so I can easily amend the sink size for each project.

I'll have a look at how they're modelled, great tip thank-you!

The top of the void needs not align with the top of the solid.

I find that with my model even I align it or make it large, it still doesn't cut it - look attached below.

Whether I align it or not, I find that it still won't work, it's weird.

Did you open the file I attached?

Just stretch the void a bit higher above the solid then use Cut geometry again.

Yes I did open it and I think I'm just replicating it but it won't cut it.

I feel like Revit is playing me gosh!
