Visibility Graphics override on Solid CAD hatch not working

So today I imported a new Autocad file of which a specific solid hatch drives me nuts as it's colour cannot be changed. Unlike the previous iteration, the hatch is unaffected by visibility graphics and object styles overrides. The view range of other levels is set to the level of the imported CAD file. The only override I can apply to it is hiding the object itself. Oddly enough, visibility graphics do override the hatch on the level that the dwg is hosted to....
And yes, I did create a new hatch to make sure there is a solid pattern applied to it, to no avail.

Visibility Graphics>Imported Categories>Object Styles. Can you control the hatch colors here?

The object styles do not change the look of the dwg in other levels than the one the dwg is hosted to, just like visibility graphics. This is strange since I've used this method for quite a while now and somehow it doesn't now. I've attached the dwg.

Hate to tell you, but I can change the color in Revit through View VGO's.

...maybe you can try changing the hatch from a solid to a pattern in the DWG and seeing if that pattern color can be changed in Revit.

I figured as much... Any other reason why VGO is not applied on levels other than the one the dwg is hosted to?
All I can tell is removing the link and adding it back in does not resolve the issue. Nor does changing the hatch pattern.

I think I may be misunderstanding you. Are you saying that you can't change the hatch color through View VGOs?  Can you change the color in AutoCAD and reload it into Revit?

I can do both.

What do you mean by "The view range of other levels is set to the level of the imported CAD file"? Is it the Primary Range Bottom or the View Depth?  Make sure the Primary Range Bottoms match because elements below the View Range bottom but within the View Depth may appear with <Beyond> linestyle.

Apparently changing the bottom plane, instead of view depth did the trick. I don't think I set it up like this before, but at least it works!

@ToanDN ; you are either a more advanced alien race or idiot savant or just **** lucky - but whatever it is, I'm willing to pay all your expenses to keep you near me at this year's AU Vegas 2019.  Think about it. I'm serious.
