Details items Draw order

Hi all,

I have an issue with a draw order on a detail component. Please see the attached image.

For some reason, even elements behind the imported detailed component cover it.

Please help.

Thanks

"Imported" Detail Component??? What do you mean by "imported".  Where are we looking in your screenshot?

Its not that.

The fence is 5 metres back from the little trees which show up grey like they are behind the fence. However, they are in the same plane location as the black one in front of the house.

You can also see the rainwater pipe cuts the black tree also when they are not even touching.

Thanks,

How did you create the tree families?  if they are detail families, placed on the elevation then they should be in front of any model elements.

Below is an example of a detail component family with a CAD import, placed on an elevation.

Still curious what you mean by "Imported".  Revit Details are always drawn a the Detail Plane, the plane closest to you when you look at a View.

Hi,

I purchased them from Archigrafix and they have a transparency thing in them. which you need to set to 1 to make fully opaque.

Finally got this sorted.

Thanks for your help

Well, what was the solution?

I just got guidance from the creator to select the element and do a graphic override and set transparency to 1. This makes them solid enough that the problem goes away.

However, the tree does not cast a shadow once transparency is set on it. Quite frustrated about this as I spent a lot of money them. I have emailed the maker about this for a workaround.

I've not managed to find any good trees other than these which work great in Hidden Line mode. Well, what I thought worked great lol.

What can Archigrafix Trees do that Revit Trees can't do -- except give you a headache?

Hahahaha,

Yes. Its mainly to do with having a consistent drawing standard. Archigrafix has a bigger range of trees and I feel they view better than the standard RPC placeholders over a selection of trees.

I could embark on these myself but the cost of these is just about manageable.
