Visibility Control of Divided Surface Repeater Component

Is this typical Revit behavior???...

I cannot control the visibility of a repeater component.  I can assign a visibility parameter to the component, but as soon as I repeat it along a divided surface, the visibility parameter no longer controls the components’ visibility state. In fact, there seems to be no visibility control of a repeater whatsoever.

The only solution I can find is to remove the repeater – essentially busting the family’s intelligence. This is stupid.

Is this the way Revit works, or is it just a loose nut behind my keyboard?

Well, duh, now it makes total sense…no sooner than I posted this thread, I found a solution. I created an instance visibility parameter in the nested component family (e.g. the family that I’m repeating on the host’s divided surface). Use this parameter, instead of Revit’s built-in instance Visibility parameter. Works like a charm.

Sorry for the bother. Cheers.

Hi, Can you also manage the visibility of single elements?
because with the repeater it turns off all the elements
